Mark founded ClearVista Financial in 2008 and has seen exponential growth at CVF with six Central Texas locations, offering unparalleled financial services to clients who want to experience financial freedom, security and balance. He is passionate about clear, accessible, relationship-centered financial planning and has developed the Spend Life Well model, offering clients the tools and expertise to achieve their financial goals.
As a finance lecturer and former researcher at George Mason University, Mark discovered that proven economic principles, when applied to financial planning, could create financial targets that are achievable, sustainable and support the goal of a balanced life. The result was the Spend Life Well model and ClearVista Financials' unique economics approach to financial planning.
Mark is a successful entrepreneur, business advisor and personal finance consultant. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Mark has served as an executive with a number of companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and DLA Piper. Additionally, he has founded several successful small businesses in the environmental and real estate industries. Mark earned his M.S in Applied Economics at The University of North Texas and his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University.
Mark is a strong believer in stewardship—the idea that we all have a responsibility to share our gifts and talents to sustain and improve our community. He and his family are active members at Harris Creek Baptist Church and live in Central Texas.

Sam joined ClearVista in 2026, bringing experience from consumer and commercial banking where he worked as a loan officer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Baylor University and currently lives in Waco, Texas. He is actively involved in the local community through Antioch Waco and serves as Engagement Chair for Waco Young Professionals.
Sam is passionate about helping others through thoughtful stewardship of God’s blessings, and believes that value-driven stewardship is a way to live with purpose. Outside of work, Sam enjoys creative pursuits such as music and photography, staying active through running and basketball, and spending time building strong community.

Karen entered the financial services industry in 1983 and joined the Clear Vista team in 2023. She strives to help individuals and businesses bring structure to their financial life. She works with our advisors to tailor the plans to each investor's unique needs, including strategies to accumulate, conserve, and distribute wealth.
Karen is a Central Texas native, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin, and obtained her Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant from The American College of Financial Services. She is an active member and past president of the Rotary Club of Temple-South. She is currently a group leader in Community Bible Study and she and her husband are members of Immanuel Lutheran Ministry.
Karen is in the Temple office, located in the Scott and White Employee Credit Union. She enjoys reading, nature, and spending time with grandchildren and their parents!

Jasmin joined the ClearVista team in 2022 and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the firm through effective office management, process coordination, and team support. She is passionate about hospitality and serving others and enjoys helping create a welcoming and well-organized environment for both clients and staff.
Jasmin is a graduate of Tarleton State University and resides in Waco. Outside of the office, you can find Jasmin traveling, playing with her dog, Wren, or drinking coffee.
Karla Wasion
Karla joined ClearVista Financial in 2025 and supports the firm by handling administrative responsibilities, including account management and client communication. She acts as a key communication hub by managing inbound phone calls and connecting clients with the appropriate resources.
She and her husband arrived in Waco in 2012 from the suburbs of Chicago. Karla is passionate about writing, mentoring women in their faith journeys, and serving the people around her.
Katy Durham
Katy joined the ClearVista Team in 2025. She works with our team of advisors to build meaningful, client-centered relationships and helps clients better understand and access the value of ClearVista Financial’s services. Katy is committed to engaging clients in their financial planning journey through clear communication, relevant resources, and personalized outreach.
Katy is a graduate of Baylor University and has called Waco home for seven years. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys capturing life’s moments through photography and building community with friends and family.

Mallory has been part of the ClearVista team since Summer 2025. She supports ClearVista Financial’s marketing and communications efforts by researching client needs, analyzing data, and creating clear, engaging content that helps clients better understand their financial planning journey. Mallory also edits and produces video content for ClearVista’s podcast and YouTube channel, providing clients with accessible, educational resources designed to keep them informed and connected.
Mallory is currently a senior at Baylor University studying Marketing.
